What Barry says

In a 1998 interview with Constance Valis Hill, known here only through a Portuguese podcast’s reading in translation, Barry lists Brenda Bufalino with Jimmy Slyde, Lon Chaney and Chuck Green among the many tap dancers who danced at his own place, the Jazz Cultural Theater.

Barry says he always had tap dancers there, that the dancers had a place at his club, and that it was the only place he knew of that did this. He makes the point after recalling that in his youth people danced to jazz rather than sitting in clubs to listen.
