What he teaches through it

Chris Parks, who teaches Barry’s method, recalls Barry pointing out how the original Donna Lee record begins, with Bud Powell at the piano for Charlie Parker: in A♭, it goes from the sixth chord on the fifth to the sixth chord on the root (E♭6 to A♭6), a move Parks finds really pretty.
